they close at 10:30 pm
Agreed. Best desi food in dallas
They are over charging since they know people are in need because it's a pandemic I went to get some spice usually 1.99 now they charging 3.29 double price the food usually quainty is more now since the pandemic the quainty went down drastically and price definitely went up like how every other products went up sucks we have no choice I usually go apna Bazaar before coming here
Convenient grocery store with an excellent Pakistani restaurant next door.
Best food, low key, fair prices. They also have vegetarian options. If you eat here you will become their regular customers. Guaranteed.Small Indian store and paan shop inside.
The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were friendly and courteous. My fiancee is from South Africa and he was happy to find this place. I definitely recommend this establishment. It was my first time here and I'll be back.
Not open yet. Customers waiting outside trying to figure out whats going on. Opening at 11 am today
Very pleasant environment. Their staff is always very respectful and Food is fresh and tasty. Has a good grocery section too. A favorite for everyone who is a fan of Asian cuisine. Never disappointed with their service.
Location wise and parking availability great! I think this place is best to get Indian Paan. Food and item availability in store is ok...
The food tastes really good and it comes pretty quickly considering it's not fast food.
We love their food. Good priced items as well
Food is great when you are looking for authentic mughlai dishes
Love these guys always delicious food. I always leave full and happy!
Good place to get Desi Groceries and indopakistani food
One of the best Chicken byriani restaurants in DFW! Bar none!
This place was some pioneers of desi taste in the community now they are just selling stuff I bought one mix chaat and found the lady bug inside .
Kind of different, tucked on the side of the grocery store is a simple restaurant featuring Indian/ Pakistani food. For the price of a Big Mac meal you can have a combination plate with 3 items plus fresh naan bread. I tried the vegetable samosa, Hakeem (lentils with beef), and lentils with spinach (yes I love Indian lentils). All were tasty and the place very clean, brightly lit, and with an open floor plan. Place your order at the counter then take a seat at a booth or table and your food will be brought out shortly. After you have finished a server will bring the bill like a normal restaurant. I'll be back
Fairly consistent and reliable Indian food. Almost ate the beef bihari once every week straight for a month or so.
I have been enjoying the lunch special in tge restaurant for nearly 20 years now, and it's as good as ever. Only $7.49 for to get three items from the many choices? That's an incredible deal! My faves are The chicken boti, karahi chicken, and either chicken or mutton byranni...yum. The new decor is a nice upgrade and makes the restaurant feel newer, cleaner, and more welcome. Still my favorite place for indo-pak food
Al Markaz is a place I like to go since it is always a safe bet. Good quality food that tastes great. And it is very consistent. I know what to expect - and that means a lot to me. The ambiance is okay, not the best. I'm not a fan of their Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils, but it's difficult to complain a lot about that when their food is really, really good. I have never met the owner like I have for other restaurants that I go to, but all the waiters/waitresses are super nice.
Its a desi super market with a restaurant on the side. They have a lot of grocery items. They should organize the store more. I ordered the Sunday special with nihari and naan. I would recommend calling ahead to place order. Otherwise, you can expect a long wait for the food. I would also recommend covering the items in the chaat are. They are behind a counter but many people are passing by in close proximity. One good thing was they require everyone to wear a mask. Otherwise, you have to leave.
For the first time I went there today, December 2019. They offer amazing taste in a range of Desi dishes such as samosa, karachi, Naan, etc. Super store is also good. The quality of products and prices are okay. Staff is cooperative and helpfuul. Recommended.
Al Markaz has been a long guilty pleasure for North Indian/Pak food at reasonable prices and very warm service. After the renovation, the ambience is much better. I'd definitely recommend getting a pitcher of Sweet Lassi for the table and Meetha Paan on the way out. PS: Meetha (and other) paan is cash only unless you purchase it together with groceries.
Great good but hygiene isn't that great.
I like the food. Awesome. Especially Lunch Combos are my Favorites. It will get crowded by 12 PM for Lunch Combos and I recommend to be there by 11:30 AM.
Their food is amazing. Tried it once with a Pakistani friend and loved it so much we went again on our own. Service was great during our time there. If you like spicy food, this is the place to go.
Delicious authentic indian food . Will say table service is a little slow asked a couple of times for my chai tea ...other than that my food was really good they are not to spicy and just the right amount portions are great to. Menu is big with a lots of options (vegetarian options as well ) affordable in prices ! I liked the remodeling much nicer and clean
good food. Place is small and not great for quiet conversations. Always busy. Servers are not courtious. Very poor customer service.
This place is a Dallas institution and a hidden gem. If you want good, home-style, north indian/pakistani food, this is the place. It's worth the price and the paper plate service. I've been coming here since childhood with my parents, and I haven't stopped!
Went there on Sunday morning to drown out guilt from the weekend. I partied too hard and drank two whole cups of whole milk the night before. I was amazed by the restaurant menu, seating, the energy and friendly staff. The grocery store on the other side of the building was a little run down and wearhousey .. they have a full restaurant menu, a street food menu, and sweet paan. All the classic in one place and it definitely gives all Desi people nostalgia. Loved the Nihari.
Tasty restaurant and Indian grocery store. Authentic Indian cuisine, that means oil and ghee. Maybe prepare with a tums
The taste is good.I would have loved the place, if it was more organized.Very few options though.
Great food. Just make sure not to order 1 hour before closing, you will end up with naans that are as tough as baguettes. Not made to order in that last hour. Also the quantity of food has reduced since March.....
Excellent food. Authentic Pakistani food. Good service and very reasonably priced.
Food was great! This place never fails me
Good restaurant for Pakistani and Indian food. Food tastes very authentic. For some entrees though it is a bit too oily.. They have a good grocery department too.
Went to buy lamb meat. But they sell only goat so had to be content with that. The butcher was extra nice specifically asked what we need. No complaints it has lots of Indian groceries even has a food place. Didn't get to try anything so no comments on that. They don't sell lamb. Wonder why? Why? Prefer the one in Plano they got all the meats I need. But no complaints.
Purchased mangoes from the grocery store... All the mangoes were spoiltWhen called them for refund, the person was very arrogant and every time kept saying boss is not there and please call back
Classic taste like back home if you like original taste
Mawa based faloodas are just yummmyyyy!
Stick with the grilled items. the Curry's are way too oily and spicy to the point you can't taste anything. Had the nehari, brain masala and beef curry. All three dishes had over an inch of oil sitting on top. Ate a bit from each dish and trashed it. No flavor!!! And major heartburn... The grilled chicken tikkah is good.Beef kebobs are amazing!!Lots of options for groceries and staff is always friendly. Plenty of parking outside.
It was an amazing food. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Good service delicious food.
Love to get my tea and all the masalas there. Probably the only place in all of Dallas that sells dill in September. Love it
Restaurant in a grocery store. They have good lunch specials and good pricing. I love the Chicken Biryani here. Overall very clean and fast service.
Foods are great. The waiters are very cordial, too. If you are from Indian sub-continent, you should love their foods. However, the foods are a little expensive and high in calories. I recommend their BRAIN MASALA.
Consistent quality, fresh food both restaurant and grocery side excellent
This place makes the best chat-pati, this side of the planet... love this place... the chat house section is closed on Monday... but it’s sooooo good! Honestly pls check it out!
If you are in Dallas and love Pakistani food then this is a must visit. They have a grocery store. An area where they make quick chat - offering both dining on site or take away. The restaurant has open tables and boot style arrangement. There is table service and food is always quick and so good. Value for money. Their bihari kabab, Nihari and karai chicken is Soo good. Wheelchair accessible entrance and sitting available
Love the food here. Very tasty and great flavors. This is my go-to for Indian food.
Always a great spot for authentic Indo-Pak food. Be prepared for the cultural melting pot! It can be a bit overwhelming at first but you'll fit right in. All are welcome.
Food tastes great. Must Try!
